Dr. Abby Johnson, PhD, RD
Abby Johnson is a nutrition scientist and registered dietitian. She is an assistant professor in the Division of Epidemiology and Community Health in the School of Public Health at the University of Minnesota.
Abby is enthusiastic about nutrition and the microbiome. Her research explores the relationships between diet and the human gut microbiome in health and disease using novel computational methods for dietary data. The lab's current focus areas include 1) analysis of diet and microbiome after dietary interventions, 2) methods development for dietary data analysis and visualization, and 3) understanding the interactions between foods and microbes during different stages of development and during acute and chronic disease.
